October 9 - 15th is fire prevention week. Start by checking your smoke detectors, as they should be replaced every 10 years.
Start by removing the smoke alarm from the wall or ceiling. Next, look at the back of the alarm for the manufacturer's date. Replace it if it's 10 years or older otherwise just place it back.

Evergreen Line Project

The Province is investing $5 million to build 150 new parking spaces, to be built at the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Station, where the Evergreen Line ends. The Evergreen Line is projected to be open before Christmas, which is welcoming news for commuters.
